Meghan Markle is in advanced discussions to return to acting as she and Prince Harry prepare to relocate their family to the United Kingdom.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Duchess of Sussex is negotiating a role in the unannounced third season of Guy Ritchie’s series, “The Gentlemen,” which is scheduled to shoot in the U.K., senior <a href="https://comicvibe.com/zee5-expands-kannada-entertainment-portfolio-with-bold-new-content-slate/” title=”ZEE5 expands Kannada entertainment portfolio with bold new content slate”>entertainment reporter Bronte Coy reported for News.com.au. Netflix handles the project but has not commented on the potential casting.
“This is such a key part of the puzzle,” Coy told BBC Radio 4’s “Today.” “I think when we all heard that news that Harry and Meghan were moving here, and within a matter of days, and the kids were enrolled in school, everyone was asking, what is Meghan going to be doing?”
Coy described the role as “significant” and said Markle is “very excited about it.” Markle reportedly met Ritchie through mutual acquaintances.
The family’s transition is already underway. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are enrolled to start at a British school in September. The duke and duchess are expected to live in a private residence outside London, though they will not be resuming royal duties or using royal trappings.
The couple originally stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020 and moved to California following a falling-out with the royal family. They plan to keep their homes in California and Portugal, butcision to extend their stay in the U.K
Markle left a successful acting career to join the royal family, most notably starring in seven seasons of the drama “Suits” until 2017. Since moving to California, the couple signed a multi-year deal with Netflix that resulted in several docuseries, including “Harry & Meghan.”
That agreement was downgraded to a first-look deal last year, and Netflix recently exited as a business partner for Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
