Helldivers 2 Releases New “Tracks of Tyranny” Soundtrack EP

Helldivers 2 dropped a few new tracks from its original soundtrack, as the new Tracks of Tyranny EP is available right now.

    Article Summary

    • Helldivers 2 has released the new Tracks of Tyranny soundtrack EP, with three fresh songs now streaming on multiple platforms.
    • The Helldivers 2 EP features Hive Worlds, Rise of the Cyborgs, and The Illuminate Void for the game’s biggest battles.
    • Composer Wilbert Roget, II returns to Helldivers 2 after his acclaimed score, adding new music for enemy factions and worlds.
    • Milan Records and Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the Helldivers 2 Tracks of Tyranny EP as the war expands.

Milan Records has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment to release a new EP of music for Helldivers 2, which they are calling Tracks of Tyranny. This is just a three-song album with epic tracks that serve as the backdrop for some of the game’s more intense battles. Including “Hive Worlds,” “Rise of the Cyborgs, ” and “The Illuminate Void.” Why these tracks weren’t saved for a bigger release is a bit of an oddity, as we assume they’d want to get more out of it by having a bigger album to show for it. We have more details from the label below, as the EP is available on multiple platforms.

Tracks of Tyranny Brings More Epic Music To Helldivers 2

The 3-track EP returns Wilbert Roget, II to the franchise after his BAFTA Award-winning and Grammy-nominated soundtrack to the 2024 game release. Now, following more than 2 years of the game’s massive global success, Roget, II revisits the universe of Super Earth, composing three new songs for the game’s evolving enemy factions and worlds.

“Two and a half years ago, we released a game that changed my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the players, the content creators, and of course the developers at Arrowhead and Sony PlayStation for making Helldivers 2 into the phenomenon it’s become,” said composer Wilbert Roget, II. “Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of returning to the world of Super Earth, writing new music for each enemy faction to underscore the next chapter of the Second Galactic War. Deepest thanks once again to the Nashville Scoring Orchestra and Ocean Way Studios, as well as all of our soloists, engineers, editors, supervisors and music team for once again bringing my score to life!”

Wilbert Roget, II is a veteran composer in the video game and film industries. He joined LucasArts as a staff composer in 2008, writing for several games in the Star Wars universe, including Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars: First Assault. He later became a freelance writer, scoring the Grammy-nominated Star Wars: Outlaws, BAFTA and DICE Award-winning and Grammy-nominated Helldivers 2, Mortal Kombat 1, Call of Duty: WWII, the Emmy Award-winning Star Wars: Vader Immortal, and many other high-profile game scores. He has also written for Japanese anime, scoring the upcoming Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. His work has earned him several awards and nominations from ASCAP, the Game Audio Network Guild, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (D.I.C.E. Awards), and others.
