With the launch of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 coming up, we have a graphics comparison for Metal Gear Solid 4 on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, and PS3.

Konami previously provided tech specs, so there aren’t a ton of surprises here. That said, we have a closer look at how different versions compare.

Compared to the original release, there are improvements in resolution, shadows, and textures. Nintendo Switch 2 targets 60 frames per second, which is a big upgrade as the PS3 version ran at 30 FPS with drops to as low as 15 PFS.

We’re hearing that the new PS5 version is a bit more stable than Nintendo Switch 2 during demanding cutscenes and it has higher rendering resolution and better shadows. Otherwise they are very similar.

As for the actual game, here’s what it has to offer:

The extreme tension of infiltrating without being detected. Metal Gear series, the pinnacle of “stealth action” Immerse yourself in the Metal Gear series, the pinnacle of “stealth action” where you can infiltrate and elude your enemies to complete missions.

The game takes place five years after the Big Shell incident in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, in a world where war has become a business. To stop Liquid Ocelot’s uprising, Solid Snake throws himself into his final battle. The battle against Liquid and the Patriots draws to a close, and the mysteries woven throughout the series are now revealed!

In an era where PMCs (private military companies) have risen to the top, war has become a business and the driving force behind the world economy.

Controlling the top five PMCs from behind the scenes is Liquid Ocelot, who fanning the flames of war even further, plans an insurrection with the goal of creating a world where warriors can lead fulfilling lives – a goal shared by none other than Big Boss.

Under the theme of “Sense” watch as the final battle of the man with Big Boss’s genes, Solid Snake, unfolds.

Check out the full Metal Gear Solid 4 Nintendo Switch 2 vs. PS5 vs. PS3 graphics comparison below.
