Gwyneth Paltrow‘s list of honorees is getting longer and longer.

After theMarty Supremeactress reportedly began sending out invitations for an upcoming dinner party in honor of OpenAI founderSam Altman, she addressed critics with parodied versions of the supposed invites.

<a href="https://comicvibe.com/zee-entertainment-allots-%e2%82%b92639-crore-fully-convertible-warrants-to-promoter/” title=”Zee Entertainment allots ₹2,639 crore fully convertible warrants to promoter”>Entertainment journalistMatthew Bellonishared a photo of the alleged correspondence in his Aug. 18 Puck newsletterWhat I’m Hearing, in which Paltrow is celebrating Altman with a “private, off-the-record al fresco dinner at her home” in the Hamptons Aug. 29.

Online users described the alleged event, which places a spotlight on the AI pioneer—whose company developed ChatGPT—as “tone-deaf” and described Paltrow as “a villain” for the move.

Although the Goop founder didn’t directly address the speculation in a statement, she did replicate the invitations in an Aug. 20 Instagram post featuring different fictional honorees: AI lifelike doll M3GAN from the eponymous 2022 horror movie,Sex and the CitycharacterSamantha Jones, Shrek, Jessica Rabbit and comedianCourtney O’Donnell’s viral meme Chanty Beluga.

Alongside the carousel, she teased, “We’re serving swordfish burritos, cheddar foam lattes on request.”

E! News has reached out to reps for Paltrow for comment and has not yet heard back.

The 53-year-old has been a strong proponent of AI, previously revealing that her wellness company has been embracing the next phase of technology.

“I’ve built some GPTs that I upload specific information for this incredible knowledge base,” she said on herGooppodcastin July 2025. “I use one for Goop. I’ll upload information, and I can ask it a million questions. I’ve been a few of these, and I find them incredibly helpful. Ihaveone around health data, I have one for Goop kitchen, I have one for friends’ health. I’m totally on it a lot.”

Paltrow—mom to kidsApple Martin, 22, andMoses Martin, 20, with ex-husbandChris Martin—believes that prioritizing AI is essential.

“The train’s left the station,” she explained at the Meltwater Summer in New York City in May. “We’re in a time of incredible upheaval.”

However, she emphasized that there is a time and a place for the tool.

“I feel like the world needs artists, especially in the face of AI,” she toldVanity Fairin March 2025. “We need real art that comes from souls and hearts.”

While Paltrow takes the most recent wave of criticism in stride, keep reading for more celebs who’ve faced their own controversies.

‘Clayface: Celebrity Dirt’ #1 is one of the coolest debuts of the year

Clayface has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to the Batman’s rogues gallery. That largely comes from the stellar two parter “Feet of Clay” from Batman: The Animated Series, a series of episodes that condensed the long and convoluted story of Clayface into a singular and tragic narrative
