THE ONE PIECE Key Visual Pays Homage to the Manga’s First Chapter
The newly released visual pays homage to the opening illustration of the manga’s first chapter. Protagonist Monkey D. Luffy is shown with his arms and legs spread wide as if he is about to leap out of the image, filled with excitement for the great adventure that awaits him.
The visual also features Nami and members of the Red Hair Pirates led by Shanks. With a pirate flag raised behind them, the characters are surrounded by treasure and enthusiastically feast on meat, capturing the spirit of ONE PIECE at its very beginning.
A brilliant blue sky stretches above a sparkling ocean, while seagulls soar freely overhead and glittering treasure fills the scene. WIT STUDIO Reanimates ONE PIECE from the East Blue Saga
THE ONE PIECE is a completely new anime adaptation beginning with Chapter 1 of the original manga’s East Blue Saga. Production has shifted from Toei Animation, which produces the ongoing television anime, to WIT STUDIO, with a new animation team handling the series.
Created separately from the television anime series that has continued for more than 25 years, THE ONE PIECE aims to pursue visual expression suited to the modern era while depicting Luffy and his companions’ adventures in a form that feels both nostalgic and new.
