If you’ve logged into Netflix today and thought you were in for the longest binge-watch of your life, you aren’t alone. A widespread, somewhat comical glitch is currently affecting users across the platform, particularly on TV devices, displaying episode runtimes in the hundreds—and sometimes nearly a thousand—hours.

Viewers booting up their favorite shows are noticing something very wrong with the playback interface. According to screenshots circulating online for the past six or so hours, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/king-of-the-hill-season-15-cast-episodes-where-to-watch/” title=”King of the Hill Season 15: Cast, Episodes & Where To Watch”>episodes of standard 40-minute network dramas are displaying staggering, impossible runtimes.

In one instance, a viewer watching Supergirl (Season 6, Episode 8) paused to find the UI proudly declaring there were “706 hours and 51 minutes remaining.” Another viewer hit pause just two seconds into an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, only to be met with a total episode runtime of 719:09:57. The longest we spotted was for 1806 hours.

The issue quickly gained traction in my inbox, across social media and the r/netflix subreddit today, with users reporting even longer durations and broken playback bars.

“I was watching a show and realised at the bottom of the screen, it says it’s 906 hours long,” one confused user posted. “The little red bar that shows you how far along you are doesn’t move either, I’m 12 minutes in and it looks like I just started the episode. Wtf is going on???”

Fellow subscribers were quick to chime in with their own experiences, confirming it was a widespread issue rather than an isolated device error. One user noted, “Happened to me too at the same exact time as you, probably some bug in the servers.”

Others took a more humorous approach to the glitch. “Watch a few hundred hours and tell us what happens :),” one commenter joked, while another rightfully pointed out that the r/softwaregore subreddit would absolutely love the visuals of a 900-hour television episode.

Is Netflix working on a fix?

The good news? You won’t actually have to block out a month of your life to finish a single episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed that the Netflix technical team is already aware of the runtime glitch and is actively working on a fix behind the scenes. Because this appears to be a server-side metadata and UI bug, there is likely nothing you need to do on your end. You shouldn’t need to reinstall your app or reset your TV—just sit tight while the engineers deploy a patch. The episodes themselves still play normally, even if the progress bar refuses to budge.

Have you been hit by the infinite episode glitch today? What’s the longest runtime you’ve seen pop up on your screen? Let us know in the comments down below!
