Authorities are continuing to piece together details surroundingHayden Panettiere‘s death.
A police incident report obtained by E! NewsconfirmedtheHeroesalum’son-again, off-againboyfriendBrian Hickersonwas with her inside the South Caroline apartment when she went into cardiac arrest Aug. 16.
Additionally, according to the report,Brianonlybecame visibly emotionalwhenemergency medical services professionals pronounced Hayden dead at age36.
He also showed authorities—who previously shared that the preliminary investigation did not indicate “any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances” in her death—a “bag of medication” that theNashvillestar had been taking, the Greenville Police Department report noted.
His brotherZach Hickerson, who was also at the scene, was described as “very emotional” whileparamedicswere “working on Hayden,” according to the docs.
E! News has reached out to Brian’s attorneysand Zach for comment and has not yet heard back.

Hayden and Brian—who werefirstromantically linked in summer 2018—had recently spent time together, with the pair traveling from Los Angeles to South Carolina just one day earlier, E! News had learned.
A 911 call obtained by TMZ and People documented an EMS worker speakingabout an “overdose” and that “CPR [is] in progress,” after responding to an unresponsive woman at approximately 1:51 p.m.
Although EMS workers had initiated “advanced cardiac life support measures,” the statement noted, “resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.”Hayden—mom to daughterKaia, 11, with exWladimir Klitschko—waspronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. local time.
An initial autopsy, according to police,confirmed “no signs of trauma”contributed to her death.
“The cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation and completion of additional studies,” the Greenville County Coroner’s Office shared in an Aug. 17 press release obtained by E!. “The investigation remains active and ongoing.”
