Announced today during D23, Square Enix and Disney treated fans to a brand new Kingdom Hearts IV trailer that sees the world of Pixar’s Coco come to the game, alongside another surprise – a new Kingdom Hearts Anime series for Disney+!

Revealed during the Disney Entertainment Showcase on August 14, 2026, KINGDOM HEARTS IV is launching in late 2027!
A brand-new adventure awaits as the world of Disney and Pixar’s Coco joins KINGDOM HEARTS IV.
KINGDOM HEARTS IV is now available to wishlist on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox ON PC, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
First announced 4 years ago, Kingdom Hearts IV sees the return of Sora and pals as they journey through the mysterious city of Quadratum. As per usual, Sora will travel to various worlds, where new figures cross his path and new powers awaken in this next chapter. One of those new worlds is of course, from Disney Pixar’s Coco, which is the focus of the trailer this time around.
After a long wait, in practical terms this new entry is just around the corner. Kingdom Hearts IV is set to launch ‘late 2027’ on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store. It’s available to wishlist now.

Also announced during the show was a brand new Kingdom Hearts anime series coming to Disney+, with a brand new story for Kingdom Hearts fans to dive into from original creator Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.
