The official X/Twitter account and website of the ongoingThe Villager of Level 999TV anime series has announced the addition of twonew voice cast members. The anime began airing in Japan on July 1, 2026.
The new cast members includeYoji Ueda, who voices Rago inBlack Torch, as Militaria Remote andTetsu Inada, who voices the Landlord inChainsmoker Cat, as Dark Dragon. Both characters appear in the show’s eighth episode, which has already been released on some streaming services like Crunchyroll.

Yoshinobu Kasai(180-Byo de Kimi no Mimi o Shiawase ni Dekiru ka?) is directing the anime series, withShinzo Fujita(To Your Eternity) as series composer andKentaro Matsumotoas character designer.Brain’s Baseis handling the animation production.
The fantasy light novel series is written byKoneko Hoshitsukiand illustrated byFumi. It was first published by Kadokawa on April 30, 2016 and ended on January 25, 2019. Eight volumes were published in Japan in total. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro that was published from July 2015 to December 2018.
