Here’s a look back at this week’s notable fashion and pop culture moments.
Sabyasachi Teams Up With The Met Museum For NYFW High Jewelry Debut
Sabyasachi Mukherjee is taking his maximalist vision of Indian luxury to one of New York’s most iconic cultural institutions. The designer has announced a multi-year collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, beginning with a high-jewellery collection inspired by the museum’s Byzantine holdings. The 100-plus-piece collection incorporates 18- and 22-karat gold alongside tourmaline, spinel, amethyst and lapis lazuli, and debuts during New York Fashion Week on September 15. Spotted: Instagram, Getting A Little Work Done
Instagram has a new look, and the internet has opinions. The platform has refreshed its wordmark for the first time in around a decade, swapping its familiar cursive lettering for a cleaner, more contemporary typeface while leaving the gradient camera icon untouched. It’s part of a broader visual refresh, but the new lettering stole the show online, with some users joking it looks less like “Instagram” and more like “Instagzam” or “Instagwam.” A new font really can start a discourse.

PUMA is stepping into the world of Indian craftsmanship with Jaipur Rugs, and this unexpected pairing has our attention. The two brands have teased a new collaboration that brings PUMA’s global sportswear vocabulary together with Jaipur Rugs’ deep-rooted connection to artisanal craft. Details of the collection are still firmly under wraps, so we’re not going to pretend we know what’s coming just yet. What we do know is that the partnership arrives at an interesting moment for Indian craftsmanship, as designers and global brands continue looking to traditional techniques through a contemporary lens. For now, consider this a teaser for a collaboration we’re very curious to see come to life.

Cristiano Ronaldo And Georgina Rodríguez Are Officially Married
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially tied the knot after nearly a decade together. The couple reportedly married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11, surrounded by their children and close family. Ronaldo and Rodríguez began dating in 2016 and announced their engagement last year, keeping most details of their relationship away from the spotlight. The low-key ceremony feels very on-brand for the famously private pair, who have largely kept their wedding plans under wraps. After years of engagement rumours, Ronaldo and Rodríguez are officially husband and wife.

PUMA x Noir Kei Ninomiya Reworks The Speedcat In 3D Floral Shells
The Speedcat has officially left the racetrack and found itself in a garden. PUMA’s collaboration with Japanese designer Noir Kei Ninomiya reworks the sleek motorsport silhouette with a translucent, three-dimensional floral shell, leaving just the signature Formstrip visible underneath. First seen on Ninomiya’s Fall 2026 runway, the design comes in dramatic black, crimson and blush tones. It is part racing shoe, part wearable sculpture and a perfect fashion-meets-streetwear crossover that tends to dominate our saved folders. Basically, the Speedcat just got a bouquet, and we’re not mad about it.

Nicolas Ghesquière Crafts Custom Porsche 911 With Louis Vuitton Luggage
Nicolas Ghesquière has taken Louis Vuitton somewhere unexpected: the driver’s seat. The designer is behind one of two bespoke Porsche 911s created through a Louis Vuitton and Singer Vehicle Design collaboration, a white Turbo Cabriolet featuring light leather, gold accents and wood detailing inspired by classic motorboat interiors. The project extends to custom LV luggage, travel pieces and a removable Tambour-inspired dashboard clock, while the second 911 is a saffron-and-cobalt-blue Classic. Forget a Birkin in the passenger seat, this is a whole new level of travel dressing.

Nicholas Hoult Secures The Role Of Gilderoy Lockhart In HBO’s Harry Potter
Hogwarts has found its latest professor, and he’s bringing an impressive amount of ego with him. Nicholas Hoult has been cast as Gilderoy Lockhart in the second season of HBO’s Harry Potter series, taking over the role Kenneth Branagh played in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It comes with a fun full-circle detail: Hoult actually auditioned for Harry Potter as a child and later tried out for Draco Malfoy, missing out on both. Third time’s the charm.
