Ariana Grande has taken the next step in her rekindled romance with Ricky Alvarez by making it Instagram official.
The 33-year-old singer was rumoured to be giving her relationship with Ricky another try after they were photographed walking arm in arm — with the romantic display coming just weeks after Ariana split from Wicked co-star Ethan Slater after three years together.
Now Ariana has confirmed the budding romance in the most millennial way possible — on her Instagram.
The Petal star took to the social media site to share a photo dump from recent weeks, with two of the snaps including Ricky.
One was a mirror selfie of the couple, with Ricky’s arm around Ariana’s shoulders, while another was a blurry snap of Ariana as she sported fairy wings and turned to her beau so he could take a picture of her.
Ariana also tagged Ricky, who she originally dated from 2015 to 2016, in both of the photos.
The Instagram confirmation comes after it was reported the pair were happy together but still “taking things very slowly”.

Into You hitmaker Ariana is said to find Ricky “funny”, and she is “happy” to have someone she “really trusts” back in her life.
“They’re not jumping into anything serious right away, but Ari is happy to have him back in her life.”
Ariana famously name-checked Ricky — and some of her other exes, Pete Davidson, Mac Miller, and Big Sean — on her hit 2018 song Thank U, Next.
In one part of the song, she sings: “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh.”
The star is currently on her 41-date Eternal Sunshine tour, and she is said to have been changing some of the Thank U, Next lyrics to reference being on good terms with Ricky.
Grande has been heard singing: “Wrote some songs about Ricky / I know he’s still got my back.”
And she has also sung: “Wrote some songs about Ricky / And they still kinda slap.”
Ariana’s decision to go public with her romance with Ricky comes after she left fans concerned with her announcement that she’s planning to take “a step back” from the public eye after her tour comes to an end.
