Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested a man for allegedly robbing someone during an online marketplace transaction
Investigators say Chin’del Jones-Hill contacted someone who was selling a PlayStation 5 on a peer-to-peer marketplace. Last Thursday, he went to the seller’s home near 149th and Bauman Avenue to pick it up.
Once Jones-Hill had the gaming console, he allegedly took it back to his car without paying. He is accused of pushing the seller while saying “You don’t want to get shot” before driving away.
Three days later, deputies found Jones-Hill near 90th and Maple and arrested him. He is charged with robbery.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says it is never a good idea to conduct a transaction with a stranger at your home. The sheriff’s office has a designated area in its parking lot, monitored by security cameras, where such exchanges can be completed more safely.
