Zee Entertainment’s Q1 FY27 profit halves to Rs 74 crore as West Asia turmoil dents ad revenue
The broadcaster’s subscription revenue increased 15% to Rs 1,136.9 crore in Q1 FY27.
Zee Entertainment reported a 48% drop in its Profit After Tax (PAT) to Rs Rs 74.3 crore in the June quarter of FY27 as against Rs 143.7 crore during the same period a year ago.
It total income increased by nearly 5% to Rs 1938.5 crore in Q1 FY27 versus Rs 1849.8 crore in Q1 FY26.

Advertising revenue continued to lag as it remained impacted from the Middle East crisis as well as cricket with around a 16% dropped to Rs 671.4 crore from Rs 758.5 crore.
The company said there was some recovery witnessed in June with the acquisition of FIFA digital and broadcasting rights.
Its subscription revenue increased 15% to Rs 1,136.9 crore in the said quarter from Rs 981.7 crore, driven by higher linear subscription pricing and growth in digital subscribers along with higher Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).

The broadcaster had launched two digital subscription plans priced at Rs 699 for three months and Rs 1,699 for a year to access the FIFA World Cup matches alongside other content on the platform.
