Instead of using Prime Day to splurge on big-ticket items, I find the best deals on skincare products I want to restock or finally try. I picked up one of my favorites, the Mario Badescu Azulene Calming Mask. It’s a clay mask that comes in a gorgeous blue hue and is really fun to wear, but it also works wonders. I bought this toiletry bag during Prime Day. I have some traveling coming up later this year and I decided it was time to officially buy one instead of going through all the old free bags I’ve gotten over the years (most of which were falling apart). To be honest, I’m a little disappointed with this year’s Prime Day deals. Going into the shopping holiday, I had two big-ticket items on my list. One was a Kindle Paperwhite for my boyfriend, but the e-reader was only $15 off and he said he wanted to wait and see if the Black Friday deal would be better. The other is a new Echo Spot, which I bought myself.
I have an Echo Show 5 at my desk and I love being able to see the time and weather at a glance and connect it to my Echo Show 10 to play music throughout my apartment. To complete my Echos trifecta, I placed the Spot on my nightstand, serving as a bedside clock and additional speaker.
