Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery has unveiled its main trailer ahead of its October 23 theatrical release in Japan. The film is the first installment in the new theatrical series continuing the Made in Abyss anime. Sumire Morohoshi has joined the cast as Tepaste, while Takanori Hoshino will voice Cravali.
Riko and Her Companions Descend to the Seventh Layer
The main trailer shows Riko, Reg, Nanachi, and Faputa finally making their way into the Seventh Layer of the Abyss. New characters Tepaste and Cravali also appear in the footage.
The theme song has also been announced as “Chain of the Abyss” by Kevin Penkin feat. Mori Calliope. Part of the song can be heard in the newly released main trailer.
The original Made in Abyss manga series by Akihito Tsukushi has surpassed 22 million copies in circulation.
The first season of the TV anime aired in 2017, followed by the film Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul in 2020 and the second TV anime season, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, in 2022.
