Highlights
- Jungkook’s Standing Next to Youreached 1.5B streams on Spotify, after Seven (feat. Latto)hit 3B streams on the same platform.
- The song spent 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and also achieved the honor of Top Global K-Pop Song at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.
- The milestone comes as the singer performs alongside his group at the ARIRANGworld tour, with two concerts set for Boston this week.
BTS member Jungkook achieved 1.5 billion Spotify plays for his solo song Standing Next to You, as confirmed by Big Hit Music on August 4, 2026. The achievement makes him the first solo K-pop artist to hold more than one song above that streaming benchmark.
Notably, his popular track Seven (feat. Latto)crossed 3B streams on Spotify in June 2026. This made Seven the most-played song by a K-pop act on the music streaming platform.
Album Performance, Longevity and Tour Execution
Standing Next to You, the main disco-funk track from his debut solo venture Golden, reached 1 billion streams in late 2024 before hitting that 1.5 billion mark. The single entered at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained there for 19 weeks, marking his longest solo run on the main U.S. chart. On the U.K. Official Singles Chart, it sat at No. 6 and recorded an 11-week-run.
The song’s streaming longevity yielded industry accolades like Top Global K-Pop Song at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards and Best Dance Performance (Male Solo) at the 2024 MAMA Awards. Bolstered by its lead songs, Golden is known to be one of the platform’s highest-performing solo K-pop albums, generating several billion-stream titles. Jungkook’s streaming benchmark comes as BTSperforms its ARIRANGworld tour. The group is set to perform in Boston on August 4 and 5, 2026.
