The cast and crew have spent the summer shooting across nine distinct filming regions throughout British Columbia—including frequent hubs like Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Burnaby, alongside Chilliwack, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, and the stunning Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.
Filming is officially scheduled to wrap up on August 10, 2026.
A March 2027 premiere would give the creative team roughly six to seven months to complete post-production (editing, ADR, scoring, and translation/dubbing for international Netflix markets).
For a show like Virgin River, a six-month post-production turnaround is exactly the standard timeline we expect. It places Season 8 squarely in the Q1 2027 window we’ve been predicting all along.
