Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced that it has acquired the assets of StreamElements, the largest cloud-based platform for live streamers, from Live Momentum Ltd, the former holding company of the StreamElements business.

The move is part of Razer’s long-term commitment to building a more robust ecosystem for content creators that spans hardware, software, and partnership opportunities and brings one of the most widely used creator toolsets under the Razer umbrella.

Used daily by millions of content creators, StreamElements provides the tools that power modern live streaming, including custom overlays, on-stream alerts, chatbots, tipping pages, and sponsorship management. The platform has become a category-defining service for streamers across major livestreaming platforms, valued for its depth of features and creator-first approach.

For creators, it is business as usual. StreamElements will continue to operate with the same tools, features and creator-first focus that millions rely on today.

Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Razer acquired substantially all of the assets used to run the StreamElements business, including intellectual property rights, platform data, know-how, and business records.

Razer refreshed its Content Creator Program in 2024, onboarding tens of thousands of creators with exclusive perks, direct access to Razer staff <a href="https://comicvibe.com/review-the-story-of-an-f1-legend-through-a-multiplayer-vr-experience-2/” title=”Review: The story of an F1 legend through a multiplayer VR experience”>through Discord, and innovative bounty programs that reward content creation. Bringing StreamElements into the fold strengthens Razer’s position to not only preserve the work StreamElements has done, but also to deepen its support for the creator network Razer has championed for years.

A Natural Fit, Built on a Community-First Approach

The acquisition of the StreamElements assets comes as a natural fit for Razer. Both teams have always adopted a community-first philosophy in how they build products by listening to creators, iterating quickly, and prioritising the long-term health of the ecosystem over short-term wins. Streamers and creators who rely on StreamElements today can count on uninterrupted continuity of service, with Razer investing in the platform’s continued growth and stability.

“This is a natural step forward for us. Content creators and live streamers are an integral part of the Razer community, and they have been for a very long time,” said Min-Liang Tan, Co-Founder and CEO of Razer. “StreamElements has built something millions of creators depend on every single day. Bringing them into the Razer family lets us double down on what we already do for creators; from the gear they stream with, to the software that powers their channels, to the programs that help them grow. We’re just getting started.”

Preserving What Works, Building What’s Next

Razer now owns and operates the StreamElements platform, but the platform remains unchanged. Creators can continue to enjoy StreamElements’ full suite of tools without disruption, with the existing team focused on the roadmap the community already knows and loves.

Tipping remains fully in force, so creators keep earning tips exactly as they do today, and the platform is set to become even more exciting over time.

As part of the acquisition, Razer is committed to ensuring full continuity of the business, including ongoing service, support, and sponsorship operations. Creators using StreamElements will see no break in their day-to-day workflow.

Part of the consideration paid to Live Momentum Ltd. has been earmarked for outstanding payments owed to creators prior to the closing of the acquisition, and Live Momentum Ltd. has commenced making those payments so that creators’ claims continue to be honoured. Live Momentum Ltd. retains full responsibility for all pre-closing obligations including debts and liabilities of the StreamElements business and remains committed to fulfilling them.

Over time, Razer will explore deeper integrations between StreamElements’ services and Razer’s creator-focused hardware and software, including Razer Chroma™ RGB, Razer Gold and Silver, Razer ID, and the wider Razer creator ecosystem to unlock new ways for streamers to engage audiences, manage sponsorships, and grow their channels.

“I’ve been a Razer fan for as long as I can remember. They actually sponsored my first esports team, so this story comes full circle in a way that still doesn’t feel real to me,” said Or Perry, Co-Founder and CEO of StreamElements Inc. “StreamElements could not be in better hands. Razer understands that creators have been embedded in this community for years, and they share the same obsession for getting it right. For our team and for the millions of streamers who use us every month, this is exactly the right step forward.”

One Ecosystem, From Hardware to Services

With StreamElements joining the Razer family, creators will have a clearer end-to-end path within a single ecosystem, from the keyboards, mice, microphones, and capture gear they create with, to the overlays, alerts, and monetisation tools that power their streams, to the partnership and bounty programs that help them turn their craft into a career.
