Shazam has launched its first artiste-exclusive sticker pack, a collection tied to Ariana Grande’s new album, Petal, and available through the Messages app on iPhone and iPad. The stickers draw on the album’s artwork and mark Shazam’s first venture of this kind, positioning the song-recognition app as a tool for interactive fan engagement rather than simple track identification.
The pack can be reached in two ways: by using Shazam to identify any Ariana Grande track, which triggers a prompt linking to the download, or by adding the collection directly to the emoji keyboard within Messages. Once installed, the stickers work across Messages, FaceTime and any other app that draws on the iOS emoji keyboard.
The rollout began worldwide on July 31, alongside the global release of Petal. Apple Music is hosting the album along with petal radio, an on-demand station featuring Grande and fans discussing the release, with further additions to the platform said to be planned.
Separately, Shazam reported a milestone for another Grande track, Hate that I Made you Love Me, which has now passed one million Shazam recognitions. The song has sat in the platform’s Pop Top 10 for more than 50 consecutive days, appeared on charts in 53 countries and territories, and held a place in Shazam’s Global Top 20 for over 40 consecutive days.
Fans need version 26.14.1 or later of the Shazam app. From there, two routes lead to the pack: identifying an Ariana Grande song within Shazam, which surfaces a direct prompt, or downloading and updating the appes by opening a conversation, tapping the add button, selecting Shazam, and opening the Ariana Grande collection
