Tristan Thompson Admits He Never Planned to Tell Khloé Kardashian About Cheating
Thompson told Shannon Sharpe that someone reported that he had cheated on Khloé Kardashian during the early hours of the morning

In an interview withShannon Sharpe for Club Shay Shay, Tristan Thompson revealed that he never intended to tell Khloé Kardashian that he cheated on her while she was pregnant
At around the 1:12:00 point of the interview, which can be seen in full below, Sharpe asked Thompson how he coped with being under more media scrutiny after he started dating Kardashian in 2016
“When you date someone that’s in the camera and high profile, you have to understand you’re under a magnifying glass,” he shared. “You got to really move a certain way. Obviously, me being 25, being so young and just winning a championship, you know, you’re young, and you’re naive, and you’re just enjoying life.”
In 2018, it was reported that Thompson cheated on Kardashian when she was pregnant with their first child, True Thompson. The following year, they split after it was revealed that the woman he cheated on her with was Jordyn Woods, who was best friends with her half-sister Kylie Jenner at the time. They quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic to raise their daughter together, and ultimately rekindled their relationship and even got engaged. When it was revealed he cheated on her again, fathering a son with another woman, they called off the engagement but later had a baby boy via surrogacy.
They’ve remained close for the sake of their children, but he told Sharpe that he never intended to tell her he cheated on her when they were expecting their first child
“At 25 I ain’t saying that,” he said. “I was more like, ‘I just hope nobody finds out.’”
Sharpe suggested that he could have softened or “diffused” some of the relationship issues if he at least warned her, and he admitted that he’s right about that
“That’s an area that I had to grow and evolve and mature,” he continued. “‘Cause you know, when you’re young, you think we know it all, right? So, when bad things are coming, or a big negative situation or precedent comes, I didn’t know how to handle it, right? So, for me it was more just like, take it for what it is, and deal with the punches after. Because it’s kind of, like, almost the athlete mentality. With injuries, we going to figure it out, we going to rehab… and that doesn’t work when you’re dealing with human beings and feelings.”
He said that the experience presented a “learning experience” for him, but he’s certain that someone snitched on him when it came to the initial cheating allegations
“Some for sure dimed me [out], ‘cause it was 5:00 a.m. in the morning when all that stuff happened,” he added. “But yeah, people talk. Social media, it’s a tough thing. … You know, the problem for us NBA players, we think when we put a hoodie on, we think we got an invisible cloak. We be forgetting that we’re still tall.”
