When pulling Anime Expeditions units from the new Villain Banner, there’s a chance you’ll pull a very special Secret unit known as Crow. This Dark Magic type is based on Itachi from Naruto, and is a force to be reckoned with, dealing out aggressive melee damage and looking super moody and brooding while doing it. Once you’ve got Crow though, you’re probably wondering how best to utilise him. If so, you’ll want to know the best Crow builds in the game, and we’ve listed our favourite loadout suggestions below.

How to evolve Crow to Crow (Black Fire)
Before settling into maximising the best Crow build you can, you’re gonna want to upgrade your Crow to a more powerful unit called Crow (Black Fire). To unlock Crow (Black Fire), you’ll need to take Crow and several items to the Evolve Station in the Upgrades chamber to forge his final form, with the upgrade requirements consisting of:
- 1x Crow’s Ring
- 20x Sprite (Red)
- 20x Sprite (Yellow)
- 20x Sprite (Purple)
- 3x Sprite (Rainbow)
- 10,000 cash
Cash them all in to evolve Crow and get the best version of him possible.
Best Crow build
Now our Crow is as beefy as he can be, let’s work on the build. Crow’s build will largely revolve around his Illusion Passive, which will turn enemies into ticking time bombs when he attacks. These guys will take sustained damage, and eventually deal AOE damage to any units around them when Illusion expires, so we’ll want to focus on Traits and Equipment that hone in on making this ability as powerful as possible. That means drumming up his Damage stats, specifically Magic Damage. Below, we’ve put together our favourite loadout so far.
| Trait | Unbound |
|---|---|
| Unit Equipment | Illusion Crow |
| Equipment | Magic Book Shinigami Sword |
Best team comps for Crow
When it comes to putting together a great team for Crow, you’ll want to secure a strong Primary and Support DPS, to help pack in punishment, someone to slow units, so Crow has more time to turn them into walking AOE bombs, and a unit to buff magic, so he hits extra hard. As such, here’s our ideal team loadout (with some suggested replacements).
- Primary and Support DPS: Dark Mage, Puppet (Potential sub ins: 8th Sword, Elf Mage)
- Slow: Salmon Sorcerer (Potential sub-ins: String Demon)
- Magic Buff: Shadow (Potential sub-ins: Puppet, Forbidden Teacher)
We’ve purposefully left one of the six team slots clear there so you can add whatever you feel the team is missing during any given fight. It’s worth bringing in a character like Cursed Student or Cursed Immortal if you’re uncertain, as they have unique abilities that can add a lot to a well-rounded team comp.
How to get Crow in Anime Expeditions
If you’re wondering where you get Crow in the first place, you’ll want to head to the Summon chamber and switch over to the Villian Banner. Crow is the Secret character you can unlock while pulling for units, which means he only has a 0.01% chance of appearing.
To pull on the Banner, you’ll need to get Villain coins, which are mostly earned from Villain chests, which you secure by defeating bosses that spawn while in levels. You can also earn them through the Villain Banner Event and codes. If you need some quick, be sure to check out our Anime Expeditions codes page.
And that should cover the best build for Crow in Anime Expeditions. If you need more help, be sure to check out our Anime Expeditions tier list and our equipment guide. You can also find our full list of Roblox guides here.
