Fans of manga, cosplay and Japanese pop culture will gather in Tourrettes this weekend as the village hosts its annual Manga Fair on Sunday 2 August.

Running from 10am to 6pm, the family-friendly event will feature a packed programme of activities celebrating Japanese culture and the world of gaming.
Visitors will be able to meet manga authors and illustrators, attend book-signing sessions and discover the work of independent creators.
One of the day’s highlights will be the cosplay competition, where participants will showcase costumes inspired by their favourite characters.
A dedicated Geek Zone will also offer video games, demonstrations and introductory gaming sessions.
Creative workshops, including drawing and Japanese-inspired crafts, will take place throughout the day, alongside live artist demonstrations.
The programme also includes a concert, K-Pop and J-Pop dance performances, quizzes and a range of interactive activities.
Organised by the Tourrettes Media Library with the support of the municipality, the Manga Fair has become a popular annual event in the Pays de Fayence, attracting hundreds of visitors each year.
Entry is free and no advance booking is required.
