The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a 20-slide Instagram carousel, packed with videos and photos of their recent family life.
Captioned “The Summer Rewind,” Prince William and Princess Kate’s roundup featured royal engagements, charitable work and a few photos of life away from the public eye. “Thank you to everyone who has made the last few months so special!” the caption read.
Moments from Royal Ascot (the prestigious British horse racing event), Wimbledon, a Buckingham Palace garden party, Kate’s 24-hour hike up three U.K. mountains, as well as her solo tour of Italy, were included, along with William honoring English broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough during a celebration for Attenborough’s 100th birthday.
Another photo showed William speaking on a panel during Climate Action Week, alongside actors Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Also included was the family photo the couple released to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary in April. The image, taken by one of the family’s go-to photographers, Matt Porteous, showed the couple and their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis — lying on the grass in the sun. The family’s two dogs, Orla and Otto, were with them.
George’s recent 13th birthday headshot, also taken by Porteous, was part of the compilation, along with headshots of both Charlotte and Louis shared to celebrate Charlotte’s 11th birthday in May and Louis’s 8th birthday in April.
The children are currently on their summer vacation, ahead of the U.K.’s return to school in September. George will start at a new school, following in the footsteps of William and Prince Harry by attending Britain’s prestigious Eton College, minutes from his family home in Windsor, England.
The Wales family is likely spending much of their school vacation at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, England. It’s located on King Charles’ Sandringham estate, where the monarch commonly spends time during July before traveling to his Scottish estate, Balmoral, for August and September. Anmer Hall offers William, Kate and their children a low-key summer, spent away from the public eye and enjoying time on the Norfolk coast.
The Wales’ photo dump came less than a week after Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, shared a 12-photo Instagram carousel, captioned “Summer Holiday.” Meghan’s round-up was more similar to the average Instagram user’s compilation: unprofessional photographs of her husband, Prince Harry, and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, having fun in the pool, at the beach and spending time in the U.K. during their recent trip to the country for the Invictus Games 2027 launch.
During their visit, Archie and Lilibet spent time with King Charles and Queen Camilla for the first time in four years, at the monarch’s Gloucestershire estate, Highgrove House. Prior to the trip, Prince Harry and Meghan had not been in the UK together since 2022, when they attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
