If there was one movie that delivered pure Looney Tunes energy throughout San Diego Comic-Con, it was Coyote vs. Acme. From surprise appearances and exclusive footage to unforgettable fan moments, the highly anticipated film made sure everyone at SDCC knew one thing—Wile E. Coyote is finally ready for revenge.
Fans packed into AMC Mission Valley on Friday for a special Coyote vs. Acme screening hosted by Ketchup Entertainment. Director Dave Green was joined by cast members Lana Condor, Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, and Martha Kelly as they celebrated one of the convention’s most talked-about events.
But the excitement didn’t stop there.
Wile E. Coyote Invades Comic-Con
In true Looney Tunes fashion, Wile E. Coyote escaped the big screen and wandered through downtown San Diego before making his way onto the packed convention floor, delighting fans and creating countless photo opportunities.
The legendary cartoon icon wasn’t finished causing trouble, either.
During Collider’s popular Ladies Night panel, Lana Condor surprised attendees with an exclusive clip from the film, giving fans an exciting new look at the long-awaited comedy. The panel also featured Poorna Jagannathan, Aimee Garcia, and Jessica Henwick, with Perri Nemiroff serving as moderator.
Just when things seemed to be going smoothly, Wile E. Coyote hilariously crashed the discussion—only to be “escorted out” by Acme security, creating one of Comic-Con’s funniest moments.

Fans Meet the Team Behind the Movie
The Comic-Con festivities continued as Dave Green and Lana Condor greeted fans during a signing at the Legion M booth inside the San Diego Convention Center, giving attendees another chance to celebrate a film that’s been generating enormous buzz.
After years of uncertainty, Coyote vs. Acme is finally racing toward theaters, and Comic-Con proved that fan excitement has only grown stronger.
Wile E. Finally Takes ACME to Court
Instead of chasing the Road Runner, this time Wile E. Coyote is chasing justice.
After spending decades being flattened, blown up, crushed, launched, and otherwise betrayed by ACME’s questionable products, the brilliant—but perpetually unlucky—coyote decides enough is enough.
Teaming up with billboard accident attorney Kevin Avery (played by Will Forte), Wile E. files a lawsuit against ACME. Standing in his way is slick corporate lawyer Buddy Crane, portrayed by John Cena, setting the stage for a courtroom comedy packed with classic Looney Tunes mayhem and plenty of unexpected laughs.
The film also stars Lana Condor and Tone Bell, with Dave Green directing from a screenplay by Samy Burch. The movie is produced by Chris DeFaria and James Gunn.
When Does Coyote vs. Acme Release?
Fans won’t have to wait much longer.
Coyote vs. Acme arrives exclusively in theaters on August 28, bringing one of animation’s most iconic rivalries to the big screen in an entirely new way.
After stealing the spotlight at San Diego Comic-Con, it’s clear that Wile E. Coyote’s biggest battle isn’t with the Road Runner anymore—it’s with the company that’s been selling him faulty gadgets all these years.
And honestly? We can’t wait to see how this lawsuit plays out.
