The anime adaptation of battle royale game Garena Free Firehas been given the title Free Fire Daybreak, as well as a spring 2027 premiere window. Also revealed were a key visual, Hotaru Asafuji‘s (Azur Lane Slow Ahead! Season 2 co-writer) role as series composer, and an August 1, 11 AM JST trailer release date.

In the near-future city of New Dawn, ruled by the powerful Horizon Corporation, 16-year-old Kelly becomes entangled in the experimental “Project Bloom” and awakens “Limit Break”, an extraordinary ability capable of unlocking anything that has been sealed away.
As fragments of her past begin to resurface, Kelly joins newfound allies to uncover the conspiracy surrounding Horizon Corporation and confront the forces threatening the future of New Dawn.

The announcement of a Garena Free Fire anime was made back in 2024, with a teaser trailer and teaser visual being dropped in 2025. Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson, Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA Licht Nameless Girl assistant director) is directing the anime at studio CANDY BOX with music by Sus4 Inc.’s Koji Fujimoto. KADOKAWA’s overseas branch KADOKAWA QINGYU is credited as production manager.
Garena Free Fire was released back in 2017 for mobile and has had collaborations with anime like One Punch Man, Attack on Titan, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. A visually enhanced version of the free-to-play shooter called Free Fire Max, which includes the Craftland creative mode, was released in 2021.
Free FireDaybreak will be “broadcast and streamed worldwide.”
