Let’s fight future crimes!
Chicken Fried Toys is now offering the first release of COPS ‘N Crooks, along with the highly anticipated release of Marshall Sundown, part of their 4-inch figure line. Cops and the Impostors is a 1988 animated television series, and Hasbro has released a toy line based on the series. This was a 6-inch scale action figure with the type of articulation seen in Marvel Legends. You can tell that this vintage series was more than a decade ahead of its time. Chicken Fried Toys is offering a new line of brand-inspired 4-inch figures, and the first release in the line is Marshall Sundown.
Plus, courtesy of Chicken Fried Toys, we’re giving away a COPS ‘N Crooks 4-inch Marshal Sundown with card.
Marshal Sundown costs $31.50 and is listed as in stock. Click here to order now!

Marshall Sundown is packaged in a blister card with the COPS ‘N Crooks logo on the front, his artwork and additional logos on the cover, and the back includes silhouettes of additional figures and his bio, which have yet to be announced.

Marshall Sundown is inspired by the look of vintage toys from the late 1980s, but also has some elements of the typical 4-inch cowboy figures that Chicken Fried Toys is known for. Although the color is present, there have been some changes, such as the scarf being bulkier, new shoulder pads, the pistol holster on the belt being on the hip instead of the thigh, and the torso being given a sculpted light gray piece that is also attached to the shoulder pads, whereas the vintage toy only had clothing painted over the torso. Despite these differences, this is Marshall Sundown, in his iconic vintage toy colors including light grey, brown and red, with a silver belt and pistol holster, and a Marshall badge that must be affixed to the upper chest when packaged unassembled.

His head sculpt is great and looks a lot like the character, but it’s a little different due to the fact that this is a smaller scale figure compared to the 1980s 6-inch figure line, and the fact that this head could also pass for a generic cowboy character. This is a 4-inch scale offered by Chicken Fried Toys, so the scarf is also larger than what you see in vintage toys and cartoons, something Chicken Fried Toys cooked up to make it somewhat their own design.

Marshall Sundown includes a chicken fried toy base with logo on the front and three pegs to make Marshall Sundown stand out. But either the holes for his feet are too big or the pegs on the pedestal are too small, whichever explanation you have, in this case he doesn’t have any additional support here to help him stand. At least that’s true for this particular illustration.

Marshall Sundown also includes two silver pistols that can be kept in a holster or placed in your hand. Vintage toys didn’t come with pistols, so this is the first time a character has included these accessories, which is a huge deal for fans of the series.

The cowboy hat is also removable and can be worn on your head or on your hands. The hat resembles the one that came with the vintage toy.
He is also fully articulated and includes a ball-jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, a ball-jointed torso, ball-jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.
All in all, it’s been almost 40 years since Marshall Sundown became an action figure, and Chicken Fried Toys is filling that void with this new release. COPS ‘N Crooks is a great brand that has been neglected and ignored for decades, something fans of the series are aware of. Chicken Fried Toys has a great line and Sundown is a great way to start this new line of figures. Support this line today by purchasing directly from Chicken Fried Toys.
