It’s time for our annual holiday break, so we’re wrapping up this year’s review with a look at Monkeywrench. I hope everyone has a great holiday!
Cobra Dreadnok is welcoming a new member to the Outlaw Bike Club. It’s none other than a monkey wrench. This character was first offered in Hasbro’s O-ring 3-3/4 inch line in 1986. This new updated version debuts in the 6-inch line, and while maintaining the classic look, it’s been given some new elements, including updated outfits, accessories, and even an alternate hairpiece and mask.
Thank you to BigBadToyStore for sending me the Hasbro GI Joe Classified Series 6-inch Dreadknock Monkey Wrench figure for review.

Launch: November 2025
The monkey wrench comes in a window box with logos and artwork on all sides, an image of the monkey wrench on the side, and an action shot with a photo of the toy on the back.

Monkey Wrench is inspired by the figure released in 1986 in Hasbro’s GI Joe: The Real American Hero 3-3/4-inch series, with a modern update to the design. He resembles the vintage toy released, but his red vest is made of soft plastic, his blue jeans are darker and torn, and even the grenade on the belt he wears around his torso is green instead of silver. Additionally, his belt has some new updates, including the chain on the side of the belt buckle clipping to the back of the belt. He is also given black gloves and boots, red bands on his calves, and his vest has silver zippers and buckles, with a black backside. Behind the grenade belt are two holsters for axes.

Monkey Wrench includes one head sculpt that allows you to display him in multiple options, including showing his face, wearing sunglasses, covering his face with a bandana, or placing an additional interchangeable hairpiece on his face with an included mask. You don’t have to take your head off to wear these accessories, you can simply slip them over your head, such as a bandana. The details on his face are great, including the scar on the left side of his face and his silver earrings, which have been modernized.

The sunglasses are similar to the one engraved on him in 1986, but are removable. A bandana wrapped around the neck covers the necklace, but this is also removable. Comes with an additional bandana that can cover most of your face. The pistol can be stored in a holster on the left hip or placed in the open grip hand sculpt. The pistol is mostly silver with a black handle.

Also included is a trident rifle that can be held in one hand, two axes, and two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fist and open grip). This is mostly black and gold with a silver trident.

A mask and interchangeable hairpiece are also new options for displaying this character. The mask is primarily silver with blue and red lenses over the eyes. The ax has a silver blade and a black, silver, and red handle.
His articulation includes a ball-jointed head and neck, swivel-hinge and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinge wrists, ball-jointed torso and upper abdominal crunch, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, and hinged and rocker ankles.

Overall, Monkey Wrench is a great figure with great similarities and updates in this scale. This is a great product for the Dreadnok team, so get yours now. Monkey Wrench is an essential character for the Dreadnocks, and Hasbro is promising more members of this faction to join Cobra’s ranks. Get him now at BigBadToyStore.
