In case you missed it, Sony has already confirmed a PS Plus Essential August 2026 game for the PS5. Included in February’s <a href="https://comicvibe.com/gta-6-is-region-locked-on-playstation-5-not-xbox/” title=”GTA 6 Is Region-Locked on PlayStation 5, Not Xbox”>PlayStation State of Play was the announcement that Untitled Goose Game creator’s next adventure, Big Walk, will be available on PS Plus as a monthly freebie. The game later received an August release date.
First PS Plus Essential August 2026 free game is a day-one title
Big Walk will be available to all PS Plus subscribers on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The game will be available in all regions on the same date, as Essential games do not follow a staggered release schedule.
As for the full August Essential lineup, expect Sony to reveal it this Wednesday, July 29.
Big Walk is a cooperative multiplayer adventure about ” teamwork and talking,” according to its developer.
“Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries,” an official description reads. “You’ll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless.”
Essential games are yours to keep, so make sure to claim Big Walk when it launches next week.
