Silver Surfer #1 was published by Marvel Comics in 1968, and the first volume ran for 18 issues until 1970. The first issue told his origin story, before he became the forerunner of Galactus and sought out worlds to devour. This wave also includes Astonishing X-Men Beast, Phoenix (Excalibur’s Rachel Summers), Silver Surfer, Black Widow, Daredevil, and Feral.

Launch: December 2025
The Silver Surfer is packaged on a blister card, the same type of card that appeared in the first installment of the Marvel Legends minicomic series. This includes artwork such as an image of him in comic book form on the front, the Silver Surfer logo, and a look at the rest of the wave and the Silver Surfer #1 comic book cover look on the back.

The Silver Surfer is inspired by his comic book appearance in Silver Surfer Vol.1. 1 #1 was created in 1968 and is given a reused sculpt provided in recent years for the character with updated facial details. The model has a shiny metallic silver finish, giving it a muscular impression.

His head sculpt has also been reused, with a black wash around his eyes and between his lips, and facial details that pay great homage to the comics.

The Silver Surfer’s surfboard is also reused from an existing figure and has one peg to place under his feet to help him stand. Three sets of interchangeable hands are also included (clenched fist, karate chop, and open grip).

Silver Surfer includes a mini-comic showing the cover of the great comic Silver Surfer #1. The back is black and white with the Marvel Legends and Hasbro logos.

The Silver Surfer shares the same archetype as the existing figures, all of which were reused from both the Galactus Crowdfund Silver Surfer figure and the Walgreens exclusive figure. This new release is closest to the Walgreens Silver Surfer (Silver version) product and has improved facial details over that product.
His articulation is also standard for this era of Marvel Legends, including a ball-jointed head and hinged neck, ball-hinged and butterfly shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunches, swivel hips, ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, the Silver Surfer is a great figure with a strong resemblance to the original and lots of nice details. This is an essential release for Marvel Legends fans looking to get their hands on a character for the first time, or who are looking for a character with great likeness and improved facial detail. Be sure to get him and additional figures at BigBadToyStore now!
