KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 4 has revealed its first key visual and confirmed a 2027 release window. The new season was announced earlier this year, and we now also know that the anime is changing studios once again.
ENGI will take over animation production for KonoSuba Season 4. The series has moved between studios over the years, with Studio Deen animating the first two seasons and Drive handling Season 3.

ENGI has previously worked on anime including Medalist, Unnamed Memory, Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs, and The Detective Is Already Dead.
The staff for Season 4 has also been confirmed. Takaomi Kanasaki will serve as chief director, while Manabu Kurihara will direct the season. Makoto Uezu is handling series composition, with Masato Koda returning to compose the music.
KonoSuba follows Kazuma Sato, who dies and finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy world after being given the chance to bring one thing with him. He chooses the goddess Aqua, a decision that soon proves less useful than he expected. The two eventually form a party with explosion-obsessed mage Megumin and crusader Darkness, turning what sounds like a fairly standard isekai adventure into a comedy about a deeply dysfunctional group trying to survive together.
Season 3 aired in 2024 and marked the main anime’s return after a seven-year gap following Season 2. The franchise also received the KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off anime in 2023, which focused on Megumin before she joined Kazuma’s party.
