And just like that, another edition of SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) is in the books. This 2026 edition certainly didn’t disappoint, with tons of action happening in and around Hall H. But which new announcement has you the most hyped? We want you to let us know, so we’ve prepared this poll. But first, let’s recap some of the biggest news from the con:
Onslaught: Adam Wingard was part of a great Comic-Con panel hosted by Kevin Smith, which teased his John Carpenter-esque action flick, due out September 4th. During the panel, co-star Dan Stevens revealed that, while it’s not a sequel, Onslaught is set in the same universe as The Guest, although he’s playing a new character.
Blade Runner 2099: Comic-Con also gave us our first look at Prime Video’s big-budget Blade Runner series, starring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer. Will it be a hit, or will it underwhelm fans?
Spaceballs: The New One: I don’t know that there was more excitement at any panel than there was at Amazon’s Spaceballs panel, which featured the return of the great Rick Moranis to the public eye. The footage we saw was great, but the outpouring of love for Moranis was tough to beat.
Ryan Gosling is Ghost Rider: Some major fan casting was confirmed, with Kevin Feige using Hall H to announce that Ryan Gosling will star in a Ghost Rider film for his Star Wars: Starfighter director, Shawn Levy. The film comes out in 2028.
A new Black Panther: Ryan Coogler confirmed that he’s making Black Panther III and that it will be released on December 15th, 2028. But the big news was that none other than Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk star David Jonsson will play T’Challa’s son, the new Black Panther.
What are you most excited about? Take the poll and let us know!
