Ryan Reynolds got back into character as Deadpool in a surprise appearance at 2026 San Diego Comic-Con!
The 49-year-old actor dressed in a denim Deadpool costume, posing as a fan when he asked a couple of questions during the Marvel panel in Hall H after the Avengers: Doomsday cast took the stage.

“Huge fan, look at that cast,” he says in character. “I’m not wearing the Doom mask over this mask because I didn’t want to ruin the likes of my Canadian tuxedo. My name is Ricky, that’s a mononym, like Cher or Madonna, and I’m just cosplaying hard.”
When asked if he had a question, Ryanresponded, “I do have a question, actually. Two questions. First question is for Paul Rudd. Where’s Thor and why was he crying?”
“Where is Thor? And why is Thor crying? Uh, he’s a Wrexham fan,” Paulreplied, taking a dig at Ryan‘s soccer team, Wrexham AFC.

“Second question,”Ryan continued. “Moving on. This seems like an awfully expensive way to announce the film. Uh, when do you start filming?”
Robert Downey Jr responded, “It’s in the can bro, look around you. Did you bump your head?”
“I see,” Ryan says. “So, there’s no additional photography? No overages, high costs, maybe last-minute additions?”
When he was shut down, he said, “No further questions.”

If you missed it, also during Marvel’s panel, another famous Canadian Ryan was announced to be joining the MCU in an upcoming movie!
