Laughter Chefs is all set to conclude its third season with a grand finale, and the excitement among fans is at an all-time high as they eagerly wait to find out who will take home the coveted trophy. As the hit cooking-comedy reality show gears up for its final episode, actor Arjun Bijlani looked back at his memorable journey on the show and shared what made the experience so special. In an exclusive conversation with mid-day, the actor opened up about his favourite moments, the contestant with the best lunchbox, and the fun of working alongside his co-stars.
Arjun Bijlani’s fondest memories
For Arjun, the biggest strength of Laughter Chefs has always been its authenticity. He believes the emotions audiences see on screen are completely real, making the show relatable and heartwarming. “I think what makes Laughter Chefs special is that every emotion is genuine,” he says. “If I had to pick a few moments, they would be watching contestants genuinely celebrate each other’s success, seeing someone finally get a dish right after struggling for weeks, hearing that families sit together every weekend to watch the show, the friendships we’ve built over the season, and of course, the finale, because that’s when you realise how beautiful the entire journey has been.”
Reflecting on his favourite episodes from the season, Arjun admits it is almost impossible to pick just one. Instead, he cherishes the moments when the contestants exceeded their own expectations in the kitchen. “It’s difficult to choose just one because every episode had something unique. But the episodes where we surprised ourselves with a dish that actually turned out really well are always special. Those little victories are the most satisfying,” he shares.
The actor says one of the most rewarding aspects of the competition was receiving praise from celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi. “Those moments of hearing Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi appreciate our food and award us stars were truly satisfying. Those are the memories I’ll always cherish,” Arjun adds.
Rave reviews on his dabba
Apart from the cooking challenges and laughter-filled moments, the sets of Laughter Chefs were also known for the delicious food contestants brought from home. Asked who had the best dabba on set, Arjun didn’t hesitate to nominate himself. “I’d say it’s my dabba,” he laughs. “The moment I open the dabba, everyone suddenly becomes hungry. There’s always great food and everyone loves sharing meals together on set.”
Speaking about his co-stars, Arjun had plenty to say about their personalities, while also revealing the little quirks that keep everyone entertained. Describing Abhishek, he says, “Abhishek is full of energy and always keeps the atmosphere lively. The only annoying thing is that his energy never seems to switch off.” He also spoke about Samarth’s playful nature, adding, “Samarth is very spontaneous and fun to be around. The only challenge is that you never know what prank or mischief he’s planning next.”
