This week I was so excited to find out that I wanted to own artwork Marcos Martín Go to buy this week’s top comics on April 9th. Martín Absolutely Batman. But boy, I’m glad to be here.
I’m also glad this isn’t the only book of my favorite working artist this week. An excellent month GI Joe: The Real American Hero There is a problem with the silent series Danny With color Brad Simpsonand Moody’s weird highway horror book Phantom Road There are more to come back Gabriel Waldda, Coloring Jordie Bellaire. It’s not as packaged as most weeks of March, but there’s a lot of fine art to enjoy. You can find my full list of suggestions and releases below!
Top comics purchased on April 9, 2025
Absolute Batman #7
writer: Scott Snyder
artist: Marcos Martín
Colorist: Musta Vicente
letter: Clayton Cowles
Publisher: DC Comics
It will get cold in Gotham City…when we reveal the connection between a young, emerging scientist, Victor Fries, his history with the Ark experiment, and it has something to do with the mysterious clown. The sensational two-person store with guest artists, the only superstar Marcos Mart N, starts here!
Why it’s cool: One of my favorite things about DC’s new Absolute Comics series is the way it empowers some of the funniest artists in comics to do high-profile superhero storytelling. exist Absolute Batman #7this trend continues with the artist’s guest team Marcos Martín and colorist Musta Vicente Arriving on the two-part arc of Mr. Fritz. This duo is one of my favorites in all my comics and the writer gives them a surprising story Scott Snyder Work here. It’s hard to fill for a major artist like this Nick Dragottabut they accomplished this here with excellent problems.
price: $4.99
Amazing Spider-Man #1
writer: Joe Kelly
artist: Pepe Larraz, John Romita Jr. (Ink by Scott Hanna)
Colorist: Mars Gracia, with Marcio Menyz
letter: Joe Caramagna
Publisher: Marvel Comics
The next era of amazing Spider-Man has arrived! Shockingly, Peter has no job and is looking for a paid job, but his job search is interrupted by a raging rhino, who is just the tip of a sinister iceberg. What are the main Spider-Man behind the scenes arming other Spider-Villages, including Spider-Man we haven’t seen in seven years? Also, anyway, what exactly is that fairy-free Norman Osborn?
Why it’s cool: Recommend a new one Amazing Spider-Man #1 It’s tricky business because the new run on the book (arguably Marvel’s big title) has a way to start strong and then get exhausted with its ruthless release schedule twice a month. That’s why I really don’t want to recommend this comic and maybe give it a standard that is clearer than other titles. But the artwork of Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia is ruthless, and writer Joe Kelly seems to have a story he wants to tell for a long time. It’s also an intensive reading priced at $5.99, which seems to be a good value. So yeah, I think this comic is good, even if I booked it, I will take this new run shot.
price: $5.99
Batman – Dark Pattern #5
writer: and Walt
artist: Hayden Sherman
Colorist: Triona Farrell
letter: Frank Cvetkovic
Publisher: DC Comics
Case 02: Tower – Part Two Voice As tensions rise between Scarface Tower and GCPD residents, Batman finds himself facing the tower’s immune system – an armed mob wearing a scarred face. As the voice of the puppet mastermind sounds through the building like the voice of God, Batman faces a strange mystery…it’s a shocking and violent development challenge.
Why it’s cool: This is a book that brings S-Tier Artwork (created by Hayden Sherman and Triona Farrell) to the list of top comics purchased on April 9. Not only does it look great, but Dan Watters writes a moody, weird Batman story that goes far beyond the usual familiar villagers. This book is an essential reading for bat powder.

GI Joe – The Real American Hero – Silent Mission – Jinx
writer: and Walt
artist: Danny
Colorist: Brad Simpson
Publisher: Image Comics – Sky
The face of the comic book is changed forever when Gi Joe: The Real American Hero #21 introduces fans to “Silent Interlude” and it’s a dynamic story without dialogue. Now, in a standalone silence question, the top teams of Danny (Arkham City: World Order) and Dan Watters (Destro) put the iconic Gi Joe Joe Ninja Jinx in the most dangerous task of her life. She had 20 seconds and escaped the Cobra Base’s 20 seconds and 20 pages of real-time action on the snow mountain death.
Why it’s cool: I love this month’s series GI Joe: The Real American Hero Silent single shots, some of the best artists in comics pay tribute to classics GI Joe #21 Silent question. This week, we focus on Jinx (the script of Dani (with Brad Simpson’s Colors and Dan Watters). This question looks great (the art team will never disappoint), and it also has a cool live plot building. This is a fun series for casual readers, definitely the comic Craft Sickos series.

Phantom Road #11
writer: Jeff Lemire
artist: Gabriel H. Walta
Colorist: Jordie Bellaire
letter: Steve Magic
Publisher: Image comics
Back in 1997, Theresa Weaver’s father, Donald Weaver, was called to Wisconsin to investigate cases related to the Jackknife project. Weaver teamed up with unconventional agent Jimmy Harold to discover a series of horrible clues that will uncover the connection between the mysterious leylines, Billy Bear Truck’s stop and the terrifying roadside murder.
Why it’s cool: Phantom Road A moody Double Peaks –The highway horror comic, back with a new arc this week, is a shock. In fact Phantom Road #11 It’s probably my favorite question in this series since its debut, as it reveals more while taking our story roots.
