It looks like Fortnite Season 4 is set to have a ‘Gaming Legends’ theme, with leakers pointing towards Sonic the Hedgehog and Kingdom Hearts all being included.
That’s according to renowned Fortnite leaker HypeX, who reports that six gaming icons are set to feature prominently in Season 4’s story and cosmetics. While plenty of gaming giants have appeared in Fortnite before, like God of War’s Kratos and Halo’s Master Chief, all of these crossovers appear to be new to Epic Games’ battle royale.

At the moment, the current frontrunners for Fortnite Season 4 are:
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Persona 5
- Kingdom Hearts
- KakaoGames
- Kernel Hearts
- Ember & Blade
- Vampire Survivors
These predictions are also corroborated by SamLeaks, another leaker within the Fortnite space. They report that Epic Games has recently renewed a license for music from Sonic the Hedgehog, pointing towards a Fortnite collaboration with the blue blur potentially dropping soon.

SamLeaks also reports that the Persona 5 Chest icon was recently added to Rocket League. Given both Rocket League and Fortnite often share collaboration events, it seems likely that SEGA’s JRPG franchise will also be making an appearance in Fortnite too.
HypeX also lists a few other big names in gaming in their list of potential collaborators for Fortnite Season 4. However, with less evidence to go on, these are less of a 100% confirmation and more of a rumour right now.
Those other potential collaborators include:
- Megaman
- Marvel Tokon
- Crash Bandicoot
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 doesn’t have an official start date yet, but the current battle pass for Season 3 ends on August 18. As such, we can likely expect Season 4 to kick off shortly after around August 19.
