TV actress Rubina Dilaik and Hina Khan’s newly launched podcast the4POV,along with their husbands, has been grabbing attention for its candid conversations around social and lifestyle topics. In a recent episode, a discussion on climate change took an unexpected turn after Abhinav Shukla shared his views on the environmental impact of consuming adult content.
Abhinav Shukla links adult content to global warming
The episode featured Rubina, Hina and their husbands Abhinav Shukla and Rocky Jaiswal discussing actor Dia Mirza’s recent comments on climate change, where she spoke about the role of patriarchy and men in contributing to the crisis.
During the conversation, Abhinav made a statement that left Rubina visibly surprised. Sharing his perspective, the actor claimed that watching pornography is among the factors contributing to global warming. He explained that the production and global streaming of such content require large amounts of energy, which adds to its carbon footprint.
“The amount of energy that goes into producing porn and transmitting it across the globe is way too much. It has a huge carbon footprint,” Abhinav said during the podcast.
Rubina’s shocked reaction to the statement quickly became a talking point after the clip surfaced online. The actor appeared surprised by her husband’s perspective before reacting with laughter, while Hina and Rocky were also seen laughing during the exchange.
Abhinav Shukla says porn makes men soft
The discussion soon moved towards Abhinav’s views on the impact of pornography beyond environmental concerns. When Hina asked him about his opinion on adult content, the actor called it harmful and said it could create unrealistic expectations.
“Porn is dangerous. It gives you very unrealistic expectations of what reality is,” Abhinav said.
He further added that, in his opinion, excessive consumption could affect a person’s focus and motivation. His remark that “porn makes men soft” became the most discussed part of the episode, leading to mixed reactions from social media users.
While some viewers debated his comments and the connection between digital consumption and environmental concerns, others questioned the broad statements made during the conversation. The unexpected nature of the topic and the reactions from the hosts made the clip widely shared online.
Since its launch, the4POVhas featured conversations on personal experiences, relationships and social issues. However, the podcast has also faced criticism in the past. In an earlier episode, Rubina discussed her relationship struggles with Abhinav during their Bigg Boss stint and spoke about an alleged comment made by actor Gaurav Khanna before entering the reality show.
The remarks led to discussions online, with some users questioning the decision to bring up personal matters publicly. With its unfiltered discussions, the podcast continues to remain a talking point among viewers.
