Returning Series With Confirmed Release Dates

    The Gentlemen (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Confirmed for September 3, 2026

The Gentlemen are back in business this September. From Guy Ritchie, the new season sees Eddie and Susie take their criminal enterprise international, switching out the English countryside for Italian lakes.

The 8-episode second season marks the return of the main cast, including Theo James (Eddie), Kaya Scodelario (Sara), Daniel Ings (Freddie), and Ray Winstone (Bobby). Joining the cast are Hugh Bonneville (I Came By), Benjamin Clementine (Dune), Benedetta Porcaroli (The Leopard), Amra Mallassi (Dune: Part Two), and Tyler Conti (Safe). British boxer Chris Eubank Jr. is also involved.

    Lupin (Season 4)

    Coming to Netflix:Confirmed for October 23, 2026

One of the most popular non-English shows in Netflix history, French mystery-thriller Lupin officially returns for its fourth season (officially subtitled Part 4 at Netflix) in October. The new season picks up with Assane (Omar Sy) behind bars after faking his own death and turning himself in. Also imprisoned alongside him is his former nemesis Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre).

Returning Series Expected in Late 2026

    Black Doves (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Late 2026 (Winter)

WhenBlack Doves premiered in December 2024, it was a holiday-themed series full of action and espionage. Season 2 shifts away from the holiday setting, continuing the journey of spy Helen Webb (Keira Knightley), who still feeds secrets to the Black Doves, working alongside her hitman friend Sam (Ben Whishaw). Meanwhile, Helen’s husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan) pushes to become the next Prime Minister.

“I couldn’t be more excited to delve back into the world of our murderous little spy family,” series creator Joe Barton teased to Netflix. “To have so many [members] of our amazing cast returning and also being able to add some of my absolute favorite actors into the mix is such a great joy. Downing Street will never be the same.”

    Emily in Paris (Season 6)

Coming to Netflix: Confirmed for late 2026

Emily in Paris will officially conclude with its sixth season, but not before taking her on a sweeping adventure. After turning down a career in Italy and breaking off her relationship with Marcello, she makes her way back to Paris — but not for long before embarking on a Greek rendezvous.

“Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime,” star Lily Collins teased.

    3 Body Problem (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Confirmed for late 2026

After wrapping up Game of Thrones, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss moved on to adapting Liu Cixin’s high-concept sci-fi epic The Three-Body Problem. After a strong debut in 2024, the sophomore season has been a long time coming. The upcoming season, reduced to six episodes, will adapt the second novel in Cixin’s trilogy, The Dark Forest. “It’s much bigger. Things get wilder, the conflicts get more cosmic,” showrunners David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo told Netflix. “Once people see it on the screen, they’re going to understand why we’ve been so excited for this season, in particular.”

Filming on 3 Body Problem Season 2 officially wrapped in February 2026. Season 3 began filming in June 2026.

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Confirmed for Late 2026 (Expected Before Halloween)

In 2026, Netflix phenomenon Stranger Thingsturned a decade old. Despite the mother show wrapping up in December 2025, the franchise will continue to endure through spinoffs, comics, and novels. Our first return to Hawkins came in April 2026 with animated spinoff Tales From ’85, which bridged the gap between the main show’s Seasons 2 and 3, chronicling unseen adventures from our team of teens. The 10-episode second season lands in October, picking up tales from the winter of 1985.

    The Witcher (Season 5)

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

After Game of Thrones ended in 2019, there was a rush for streamers to make the next big epic fantasy series: notably, Prime Video made The Wheel of Time and The Rings of Power. Meanwhile, Netflix spent big money on bringing Andrzej Sapkowski’s beloved epic The Witcher to our screens. Fans loved Henry Cavill’s portrayal of monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia, and then he was replaced by Liam Hemsworth in Season 4, who delivered a totally satisfactory performance. Seven years after it debuted, Netflix’s The Witcher saga will wrap up in 2026. Will it bow out on a high? Let’s wait and see.

    Nobody Wants This (Season 3)

Coming to Netflix: Confirmed for late 2026

Adam Brody and Kristen Bell return as Noah and Joanne in fan-favorite rom-com Nobody Wants This, with Season 3 coming later this year.

Netflix officially renewed Nobody Wants This for a third season in November 2025. The streamer confirmed in April that Season 3 would arrive in 2026. “We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of Nobody Wants This,” showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplantold Netflix when the show was renewed. “This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster, this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience.”

    The Devil’s Plan (Season 3)

The Korean game show from producer Jeong Jong-yeon (The Genius, Society Game) returns. In this game, no mistake goes unpunished. Expect big personalities, ambitious strategies, betrayal, and more.

    The Diplomat (Season 4)

The Diplomat Season Netflix Everything We Know So Far

The Diplomat Season 2 Netflix Everything We Know So Far

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

The Diplomat Season 4 is officially listed on Netflix’s 2026 slate, though no release date has been set; given the show’s excellent release cadence, betting that it sticks to later this year seems pretty on the money. The political drama began filming in late 2025 and wraps this summer. In the Season 3 finale, Kate (Keri Russell) found herself entwined in a political conspiracy after learning that Hal (Rufus Sewell) and President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) embarked on a rogue operation to steal Russia’s ultimate doomsday weapon, the Poseidon.

    North of North (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

Canadian Arctic comedy North of North is returning for another season, continuing Siaja’s journey as she builds her new life in Ice Cove. Filming on Season 2 was completed in April 2026, paving the way for a debut later this year. We’ve written about Season 2 in more detail here.

    The Hunting Wives (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

Raunchy East Texan drama The Hunting Wives was an instant standout when it landed on Netflix in July 2025. The Hunting Wives follows Sophie O’Neil (Brittany Snow), who moves from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Maple Brook, Texas, with her family, consisting of her husband Graham (Evan Jonigkeit) and their son. At their new home, they aim for a fresh start to their lives, leaving Sophie’s mysterious, traumatic past behind. However, Sophie soon gets involved in a group of mischievous wives, and it’s not long before the vices she tried to move away from begin to resurface.

Filming on Season 2 wrapped up in May 2026. Netflix has not announced a release date yet, but we expect to see it land on the streamer later this year.

    Long Story Short (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

Long Story Short Season 2 is listed on Netflix’s official 2026 slate. The animated series is created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman) and follows a middle-class, Jewish Schwooper family, jumping through the years and chronicling their adventures, triumphs, disappointments, and everything in between. Long Story Short first aired on Netflix in August 2025, garnering hugely positive ratings — it still retains a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

    The Empress (Season 3)

Coming to Netflix: Expected late 2026

German historical drama The Empress is widely regarded as one of Netflix’s biggest hidden gems. Focusing on the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Devrim Lingnau) and her unlikely marriage to Emperor Franz (Philip Froissant), the series explores her life, trials, and tribulations as she sits within the Viennese court.

Season 3 was filmed in Prague and Bavaria in 2025, wrapping in early 2026. Netflix has not set a release date, though it is expected to land on the streamer in late 2026.
