“Every look was put in front of me and I kind of stared at it and I thought, ‘Okay, so where do I fit in?’ You know how much Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker inspired me.

“As far as looks go, not that much, but I have a picture of him playing the Joker on my desk because I really love what they did with the character.

“They stayed true to the essence of the Joker, but they just accepted it [to another level]. You haven’t seen that version of the Joker before. Not yet. People still love it.

“Do you remember when they first posted his mugshot and that piece of paper? Social media in 2008 wasn’t as crazy as it is now, but I remember Twitter exploded. It was like, ‘Is that the Joker? ? ”

“I found what they did with the character and how they approached it very inspiring. I was thinking [about] If I could take their approach to werewolves, I think I’d do it.

“So I had all the different photos of different werewolves in my files, and when I put my version up, it didn’t look like any of them. I was like, ‘Oh.

“This is not [happen often]. Usually in Los Angeles, in Hollywood, people ask, “Can we change this?” Well, every script I write is inundated with notes. But when I saw the model that Ariane had made, I thought, “I can’t give you any notes.” [improve this]’ – I just thought, ‘Just do it.
