    SDCC ’26: Ignition Press reveals signings, panels and a pavilion

    Ignition Press will be hitting SDCC with a booth fr the first time this year, and a full array of signings, debuts and panels….and a pavilion! Last year’s pop-up in the Gaslamp was wuite a hit but this year they’ve plussed-up with the Ignition Pavilion, which will be held at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center located at 200 Harbor Drive, #120 – right across from the convention center. This has been a great place to hang out at past cons, so kudos to Ignition for picking such a handy spot. 

    The Ignition Pavilion will host 14 creators located at dedicated tables, where they will be selling their comics works, original artwork, and other merchandise across various publishers. You can also purchase all Ignition Press comics. Or just hang out on the berm.

    The line-up:Tini Howard (Sicko), Jeremy Haun (The Beauty, Murder Podcast), Jason A. Hurley (The Beauty), Cullen Bunn (Cult-de-Sac, Ripcord), Rob Guillory (Innards), Dave Wielgosz (Showdown), Tim Seeley (NO Place), Stephanie Williams (Roots of Madness), Danny Luckert (Airwalker), John J. Pearson (The Patron), Leah Williams (Voyeur), Ande Parks (Extraction), Jim McCann (The Other/Half), and Joe Eisma (The Other/Half).

    There will be scheduled signings at the main desk on the first floor with additional talent including Christian Ward (The Patron), Oli, Jamie S. Rich (The Dogsitter), Peter Pantazis (The Other/Half), and Lee Loughridge (Showdown) throughout the weekend

    ON the show floor, Igntion will set up at Booth #5531, with the following exclusives: 

    Minotaur #1 by Si Spurrier and Mike Dowling, with an exclusive cover by Jock (Wytches, Batman: One Dark Knight). Limited to 500 copies. 

    Sicko #1 by Tini Howard and Amilcar Pinna, with an exclusive cover by Anwita Citriya (Something Is Killing The Children, Exquisite Corpses). Limited to 500 copies.

    The Patron #1 by Christian Ward and John J. Pearson, with an exclusive cover by Tula Lotay (Somna, All Star Batman). Limited to 500 copies. 

    The Dogsitter #1 by Jamie S. Rich and Megan Levens, with an exclusive cover by Joe Quinones (Batman ’89, Harley Quinn). Limited to 500 copies. 

    The Folk of Dooney Hollow: The Cold Open by Jeremy Haun and Alex Lins, with an exclusive cover by Alex Lins (Briar, Plastic Man No More!). Limited to 500 copies.

    Cult-de-Sac: The Cold Open by Cullen Bunn and Fico Ossio, with an exclusive cover by Ebrahel Lurci (Murder Podcast). Limited to 500 copies.

    Ignition Press will only release 75 copies of each exclusive per day of SDCC (Wednesday through Sunday). All Ignition Press exclusives retail for $9.99 and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

    Every Ignition Press comic, including the publisher’s exclusives, features a unique, one-of-a-kind serial number printed on the back cover tied to the print run of that cover. Fans should note that in order to ensure quality in the printing process and provide copies to the people working on the title, they may receive a numbered copy that exceeds the announced quantity, but that only the announced quantity will be released into circulation. 

    Several collected editions of fan-favorite series will make their early debut at the show. Fans can purchase trade paperback editions of Murder Podcast Vol. 1 (featuring a five-part gatefold of the first five connecting variant covers by artist Mike Tisserand), Voyeur, and Deluge at the Ignition Pavilion or at the Ignition Press Booth #5531. Each of these collections feature spot U/V treatment on the front and back covers. Ignition Press is also proud to debut its first original graphic novel at the show—Airwalker, from the mind of the late, great Stan Lee and adapted by Jeremy Haun and Danny Luckert. Airwalker debuts early at the convention and can be purchased at the Ignition Pavilion and Ignition Press Booth #5531.

    The Ignition Pavilion will be open with free admission to the public during the following hours: 

      • Wednesday, July 22nd: 5:00pm – 9:00pm 
      • Thursday, July 23rd: 12:00pm – 8:00pm 
      • Friday, July 24th: 12:00pm – 8:00pm 
      • Saturday, July 25th: 12:00pm – 8:00pm 
      • Sunday, July 26th: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

    For fans curious to know more about Ignition Press and what the publisher has in store for readers and collectors in its second year, the publisher is hosting two panels over the weekend.

    Igniting Romance in Comics

    Love is in the air . . . and in your favorite comics. Despite a long and storied history in the medium of comics, romance comics have been less prevalent in recent years. Creator Jamie S. Rich (The Dogsitter, Ares & Aphrodite), Jim McCann (The Other/Half), Olivia Dufault (Love Ignited), Tini Howard (Gotham City Sirens), and Leah Williams (Voyeur) discuss the importance and resurgence of romance comic series in a post-BookTok, romantasy world. Moderated by bookseller Grace Cook from the famed romance-focused independent bookstores, The Ripped Bodice.

Pearson (The Patron)—reflect on their inaugural year and unlock announcements for their next phase of publishing. Every attendee will receive a secret, exclusive free giveaway.
