The 43-year-old noted that costar Damon felt similarly about his marriage toLucianaBarroso Damon
“We both kind of started playing these characters in this deep love relationship,” she added, “knowing that it was possible.”
Indeed, Schulman helps Hathaway—mom to sonsJonathan, 10, andJack, 6—feel like the Princess of Genoht as she and Shulmanare currently expecting their third child.

While they’re eager to welcome baby No. 3, Hathaway—who tied the knot with the producer and jewelry designer in 2012—recently admittedthat she and Shulman were alittlesurprised to learn she was pregnant again
“It’s amazing. We knew what we were doing,” she joked on the July 13 episode ofLate Night With Seth Meyers, “but we were so shocked it worked.”

She added with a laugh, “We were so shocked it went this way, so we’re calling this one our buzzer-beater.”
Hathaway and Shulman first crossed paths at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008. And according to the Oscar winner, she instantly felt Shulman was the only one for her, tellingHarper’s Bazaar U.K.in 2013, “I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life.”

“He supports me completely. This year in particular was unusual. He and I both know that it’s probably never going to happen like this again,” she shared withPeoplein April. “And the way he stepped up, I mean, in every possible way, he’s the most extraordinary person I’ve ever met.”
“I’m so lucky that he’s my partner that I spend my life with,” Hathaway added. “If I didn’t know that before this past year, I think I really know it now because with absolutely everything he’s just, he’s on it. He holds it down. I hope that doesn’t sound like I’m bragging, but he’s a dream partner to me.”
