If you’re still playing OW2 in the hopes that it will somehow return to the glory days of OW1, you may have noticed that most of the events and collaborations now revolve around skins rather than actual playable content And established. Regardless, the collaboration with My Hero Academia will launch on October 17th.
The news came during Xbox’s TGS 2024 presentation, which included a lot of interesting content, such as the Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered series coming to the console, as well as StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2. The single-player game will be available on Game Pass.

The collaboration also comes on the heels of World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary celebrations, which added four new World of Warcraft skins to the game. The products start at 1900 OW tokens each, equivalent to $19 USD. You can also buy all four with a few extras for 5700 gold, which means buying 5000 (+700 bonus) options for $50. This strategy has worked well for Activision Blizzard so far in Strike Force 2, Diablo 4, and Call of Duty, but it doesn’t make me feel sick to my stomach.
While the price hasn’t been confirmed yet, you should probably look forward to the My Hero Academia collaboration. You can watch the very brief announcement trailer below:

- Izuku Midoriya (Deku) – Tracer
- Ochaco Uraraka (Uravity) – Juneau

My Hero Academia (the manga) ended last month, but that doesn’t mean the series will be making its way out into the world anytime soon, especially since Netflix is working on a live-action movie.
The story of “My Hero Academia” tells the story of Izuku Midoriya, a boy who was born without superpowers in a world where superpowers are common. He still dreams of becoming a superhero and is discovered by the world’s greatest hero, All Might, who shares his power with Izuku after realizing his worth. After that encounter, he sent Izuku to a famous superhero training high school before things got more complicated.
