Castlegar non-profits benefit from gaming grants

Several Castlegar non-profit organizations will benefit from the most recent round of B.C. Community Gaming Grants
In 2025-2026, more than $56 million was distributed among 1,225 non-profit organizations through the human and social services stream of the provincial Community Gaming Grants program
Blueberry Creek Community School received $33,400 and Kootenay Family Place received $51,000
Castlegar Community Services received $71,000 that will be used for the Volunteer Driver, Better at Home and Women’s Centre programs

The Better at Home program provides non-medical supports – with a focus on housekeeping – to enable seniors to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
