Stockton-con brings pop culture celebration to Adventist Health Arena
*** colorful tradition celebrating pop culture returned to Stockton this weekend. Stocktonon brings together fans of gaming, comics, and shows for two days of fun under one roof at Adventist Health Arena. At the convention, attendees got to shop with local artists and vendors, attend panels, and even meet some of the faces and voices behind their favorite franchises. It’s *** place where fans of all different generations get to share what they’re passionate about and discover some new interests. It’s *** blessing to see that children now and adults now are still reading comic books, and the joy of doing comic book conventions is when I see *** child that’s walking with *** parent that may not be as passionate as the parent is, I’ll tend to reach into one of my comic books to find something that *** child may like and give it to them just to spark that interest to read. Gotta sparked that interest. This year’s special guests include Anthony Gonzalez, the voice of Miguel in the Pixar film Coco, and Lucas Grabil, who played Ryan in the High School Musical movies. Several pro wrestlers were also in attendance.
