Jennifer Beals has been cast in the upcoming CBS drama NCIS: New York. The drama will expand the viewer favorite NCIS world and Beals role has been described as the “female lead”; she will be playing boss to LL Cool J’s Sam Hanna (a reprisal of the character he played in NCIS: LA) and Scott Caan’s new-to-NCIS role Nick Schaeffer. If you love period drama, BritBox has some grand news for us! They officially announced the long-rumored adaptation of Chocolate Wars. The series is being retitled as The Cadburysand is “inspired by Deborah Cadbury’s book, Chocolate Wars.” The six-part series has begun filming! Led by Harry Gilby, the series will also star Toby Regbo, Jessica Barden, Pearce Quigley, Ben Hardy and Poppy Gilbert
According to BritBox, viewers can expect this series to be, in part, “a warm-hearted family drama following the visionary Cadbury family, the underdogs of the cocoa world, on their journey towards creating the world-famous Cadbury’s chocolate bar.” The story goes on to read as being about family bonds, loyalty, and (of course!), a little bit of a romance will factor into this one, too
