The official X/Twitter account and website of theFist of the North Star: Hokuto no Kenanime series have released a commemorative visual for the anime’ssecond cour. The upcoming second cour will premiere in Japan sometime in 2027.
The visual features the main protagonist, Kenshiro, and Rei striking a battle pose back-to-back.

Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken is the latest anime adaptation of the post-apocalyptic manga series (known simply asHokuto no KenorFist of the North Star) written byBuronsonand drawn byTetsuo Hara. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 13, 1983 to August 8, 1988. A total of 27 tankobon volumes were published in Japan. VIZ Media released the manga in English in hardcover format under its VIZ Signature imprint.
The manga previously inspired two TV anime series and an anime film in the 1980s. A new series made up of OVAs and films was released between 2006 and 2008 with five installments. Other media include a 1995 live-action film, a stage play, and video games.
