Fortnite will get a Treasure Hour every week
The game will get Treasure Hours weekly on Saturdays in two two-hour windows. With this Fortnite is carrying forward its tradition of the Saturday event, however this time around the hours is themed around treasure, with the pirate-themed ‘Treasure Hunters’ season. The hourly event replaces the ‘Power Hours’ from the last Chapter.
This season’s hourly event is special. During them certain sprites will gain increased drop rates and players will spawn into the game with some special items. Players should be on the lookout each Saturday as the game will also allow them to self revive on the ship.
The next Treasure Hour occurs this Saturday on November 7. The event will take place in two slots from 2 pm to 4 pm EST and then again from 9 pm to 11 pm EST. For PST, the session take place from 11 am to 1 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.
What is coming in the Treasure Hour?
This week’s Treasure Hour increases the drop rate of come Fortune sprites. The sprites are useful as they highlight nearby chests from time to time with a pulse. During the hourly event, players will begin each match equipped with a Shock Rocket and a Self-Revive. They will not have to find them in chests for them to appear. The rocket comes to the game in collaboration with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The game has also introduced Captain’s Day, which introduced new weapons, skins, new bosses and even a map change to the fictional island ‘Crossbones Isle’ from ‘One Piece’.
On November 1, Captain’s Day brought A$AP Rocky as the first boss and a Lil’ Flacko Sprite. The next one is on November 7 at 9 am EST. It brings Lil Uzi and promises new Spites and firepower for the hunt. Captain’s Day will take place on several other days including November 15 and November 22.
It is followed by Mastery Mondays at 9 am ET, which will feature double the Sprites and Sprite Dust all day.
