iBuypower Slate AMD Ryzen 5 8400F RTX 5060 Gaming PC (16GB/1TB)
The iBuyPower Slate gaming PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 8400F CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The AMD Ryzen 5 8400F is a Zen 4 AM5 desktop CPU is a 6-core, 12-thread processor with a max boost clock of 4.7GHz. It’s a good CPU for gaming that complements the RTX 5060 GPU well. It doesn’t have a particularly high core count, but the vast majority of games cannot utilize more than six cores anyways.
The RTX 5060 graphics card is a great budget option for 1080p gaming
The RTX 5060 outperforms its predecessor the RTX 4060 by about 20%-30% and that’s before factoring in DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. This is a solid budget option for 1080p gaming and you should be able to squeeze consistent 60fps+ framerate out of just about any game. If you’re gunning for higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K, however, you’ll definitely want to upgrade to an RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) or better.
If you’re even a little bit PC savvy, this is a much better deal than the Steam Machine
On a side note, this is a considerably more powerful computer than the $1,049 Steam Machine, which is equipped with a very low wattage CPU and a custom GPU equivalent to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060. Expect to see at the bare minimum a 20%-30% performance advantage for an RTX 5060 equipped gaming rig. The fact that the iBuyPower Slate costs $150 less makes the comparison a moot point.
