Collectors, gamers, and anyone who loves to enjoy nostalgia are in for a treat this weekend as Retro Mania returns for its second year on Saturday, November 7, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Vernon Rec Centre. Put on by Vernon Comic Con, the event puts more focus on retro collectibles like old video games, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/marvel-already-announces-big-2027-free-comic-book-day-title-hulk-fans-will-love-it/" title="Marvel Already Announces Big 2027 Free Comic Book Day Title & Hulk Fans Will Love It”>comic books, toys, trading cards, and more!
This year, Retro Mania plans to host a retro arcade zone where guests can compete in a high-score challenge with pinball and other games. Organizers recommend bringing quarters and loonies for some of the games. DJ Lunchboxx will also be spinning up some tunes for guests to enjoy while doing some shopping at the event.
There will also be CDs, vinyl, action figures, clothing, and tons to explore at the event, including a retro classic computer area where people can relive the past on some old technology. There will also be a room dedicated to purchasing, selling, and trading Pokémon, sports cards, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, and other card games.
Entry to the event is only $5 at the door, with kids under 12 entering free. Vendors prefer you bring cash, but some will have square/card available. The event is also collecting non-perishable food donations for the Salvation Army Food Bank. More information about Retro Mania can be found on the event website here.
