Notable insider Jeff Sneider has revealed that The Bearstar Jeremy Allen White is allegedly being considered for the role of Wolverine in Marvel’s upcoming X-Menreboot. The insider also revealed that White had a chat with Marvel Studios about the alleged role.
On The InSneider, Sneider revealed that Allen White’s role as Wolverine will be small in the X-Menreboot (if the actor were to be cast as Wolverine, that is). If the rumors are true, The Bearactor could solve a long-standing casting issue for Marvel Studios by matching Wolverine’s canonically short stature from the comics.
Jeremy Allen White Could Get One Thing Right About Wolverine

It’s not really about the comic book costume accuracy. But the character of Wolverine in the Marvel comics is of short stature. Weighing about 200 lbs and 5’3 ft (160 cm) in terms of height, Wolverine isn’t the tallest mutant to exist in the comic books.
Hugh Jackman, who found worldwide fame and love as Wolverine in the X-Men movies and the eventual Marvel crossover, is actually 6’3 ft (188 cm) tall. Although the actor’s portrayal of Wolverine is one of the finest to exist out there, it’s not really the best height-accurate version of the character.
Standing at 5’7 ft (170 cm), Jeremy Allen White technically fits the criteria for portraying Wolverine in the upcoming X-Men reboot. Although it isn’t confirmed until an official announcement is made, the actor could technically be a little bit more accurate than Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, if the rumors are true.
Jeremy Allen White Could Use Some Good News After Recent Flops

Not to badmouth the actor, since Jeremy Allen White is one of the finest actors of this generation; however, his recent movies haven’t been doing so great in terms of commercial success.
Back in 2021, the actor starred in The Birthday Cake, which became one of the actor’s worst movies in his filmography. Starring in the movies Fremontand Fingernailsin 2023, Jeremy Allen White didn’t find much fame or acclaim.
The actor finally had his breakthrough as Kerry Von Erich in the 2023 movie The Iron Claw, which also received its fair share of success. However, Allen White’s two recent flicks, including Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, You Can’t Win, and The Social Reckoning, have been commercial failures despite giving the actor fame and acclaim.
Naturally, if Allen White were to star as Wolverine in Marvel’s X-Men reboot, it would give the actor a much-needed break and potentially help him overcome the trend of commercial failures.

The X-Menreboot is scheduled to release in theaters on May 5, 2028.
