    November 2026 Netflix Canada

It may not be December yet, but get ready for the holiday movies to start rolling out in November. The most notable coming to Netflix next month is Guarding Stars, with beloved actors Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki.

If it’s too early for you to get into the holiday spirit and maybe you’re still holding on to spooky season, The Bodyis a great choice. It feels like a blend of a Y2K teen movie with the flavour of a camp erotic thriller.

But two of the most exciting new releases coming to Netflix are Heartland, with Jessica Chastain playing a country music star who returns to Nashville after her niece goes missing, and The Altruists, with the brilliant Anthony Boyle and Julia Garner playing crypto fraudsters Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison.

Additionally, you can dive back into the Black Dovesspy story, starring Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw, for Season 2.

But while we get more Knightley in that series, one of her best movies, Pride & Prejudice, is being removed from Netflix Canada in November. So if you hoped to rewatch it before the release of the Netflix Pride & Prejudiceminiseries in December, you don’t have much time left.

Additionally, Titanic is leaving the streamer, along with Amélie, Jennifer’s Body, Patch Adams, A Beautiful Mind, Bridget Jones’s Diary and the first two Shrekmovies.

For everyone excited about the release of The Hunger <a href="https://comicvibe.com/5-video-games-that-tried-to-copy-crash-bandicoot/” title=”5 Video Games That Tried To Copy Crash Bandicoot”>Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, keep in mind that you only have a few days left to watch The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes before it’s removed from Netflix.

Two movies starring Heath Ledger are also leaving Netflix: Brokeback Mountain and A Knight’s Tale. And multiple Quentin Tarantino films are also being removed: Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2,andDjango Unchained.

For TV lovers, the series Weeds is being taken off Netflix, along with the Gilmore Girlsrevival series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

What to watch on Netflix: New TV shows and movies

    Black Doves, Season 2 — Nov. 5

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw return for Season 2 of the funny and thrilling spy series Black Doves.

The season begins as two Black Dove agents have been killed in the last month, with Babou Ceesay joining the cast as Helen’s new handler, as both Helen and Sam are desperate for answers about what is happening in the covert organization. But Helen’s husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan) is the prime minister, so the stakes and risks for her are higher than ever.

“Stay good at lying, that’s my advice. For both our sakes,” we hear her handler, Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire), say in the trailer for the season.

Ambika Mod, Neve Campbell, Sam Riley, Syln 2 cast

    The Body — Nov. 11

The upcoming Toronto-filmed series The Bodyis inspired by ’90s and 2000s teen movies and erotic thrillers, like Carrie, Jennifer’s Bodyand Mean Girls, and puts a “playful spin” on a “nightmarish experience” the show’s creator, Quinn Shephard, had as a teen.

Centred around a group of Catholic schoolgirls, a dance-team initiation that goes wrong when team captains Anya (Kristina Bogic) and Elise (Sara Boustany) lead a drug-fuelled ritual on their new recruit Grace (Sofia Wylie).

The cast also includes Geena Meszaros, Shirley Chen, and Gabby Windey.

“I literally made this for my teen self,” Shephard told Tudum. “Tonally, I would describe the show as gritty camp. It’s a raunchy teen psychodrama with a dash of Catholic horror.”

“This show can be really funny, and it can still be really sad at times or really spooky. It is aesthetically such an homage to every single film that influenced me as a filmmaker and made me want to be an artist.”

    Heartland — Nov. 13

Jessica Chastain stars as Misty Jones in Heartland, a country music star who returns to Nashville when her niece, 22-year-old country star Charlie Heart (Carter Faith), goes missing.

Misty’s list of suspects includes Charlie’s boyfriend Jace (Ross Lynch), and manager, Roy Combs (Garrett Hedlund).

“Misty could be incredibly tender, and then five minutes later, shoot someone’s windows out,” Chastain told Tudum. “She’s not interested in being liked. And I love women like that on screen because I don’t think we get to see them that often. Underneath the noir and the mystery, Shana was making a film about women reclaiming authorship of their own lives.”

“Country music is about telling a story. It’s about someone leaving you, someone dying, they’re drinking too much, wanting someone that you shouldn’t want…. Apparently I just really like women with big hair and complicated lives.”

    Guarding Stars — Nov. 18

For 2000s TV lovers, Guarding Stars is going to be your must-watch holiday movie, bringing Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, and Gilmore Girls and Supernatural actor Jared Padalecki together.

Inspired by the 2022 novel The Bodyguardby Katherine Center, directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum (Aquamarine), the rom-com begins when Hannah Brooks is assigned as a bodyguard to movie star Jack Stapleton. It also stars Andie MacDowell, Walker Hayes, Rachael Ancheril, Noah LaLonde, Toby Sandeman, Phil Brooks, Ava Max and Shaun Johnston.

    The Altruists — Nov. 19

The eight-episode series The Altruists follows Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle) and Caroline Ellison (Julia Garner) through the rise and fall of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX and one of the biggest financial frauds in history, in which $8 billion of customer funds stolen. Ellison was released from prison in January, after serving 14 months of a 24-month sentence, and Bankman-Fried is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence.

“I genuinely believe that both Sam and Caroline were deeply committed altruists from day one, who set out to do as much good for as many people as they could in their lives,” creator, co-showrunner, and writer Graham Moore told Tudum.“Over the course of the years that our show depicts, Sam and Caroline, with the very best of intentions, talked each other and themselves into committing a number of terrible crimes.”

Moore added that he was “nervous” the day of their first rehearsal, but started crying just 30 seconds into the day.

“I was so overwhelmed because you could feel it — it just clicked,” Moore said.
